Weekly Report: Influenza Summary Update
During October 24 – October 30, 2004, influenza activity was low in the
United States. Fifteen specimens tested by U.S. World Health Organization
(WHO) and National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System
(NREVSS) collaborating laboratories were positive for influenza. One state
reported regional influenza activity, one reported local activity, and 26 states
and New York City reported sporadic influenza activity. Twenty states and
the District of Columbia reported no influenza activity.

Influenza Update NetConference – 11/19/2004, 12:00 p.m. EST
This one-hour session will provide clinicians with the most up-to-date
information on influenza with a focus on antivirals. This program will
combine a telephone audio conference with simultaneous online visual
content. It will allow for a question and answer segment both by telephone
and via the Internet. The agenda for this program is now available.

Provides an all-hazards reference tool for health professionals who are responsible
