Andre deNesnera recently returned to news reporting after serving as News Director since March 2000. Before that, he was National Security Correspondent and for five years was based in London as Senior European Correspondent.

Mr. deNesnera began his career at the Voice of America in 1980. He opened VOA's Geneva Bureau in 1984 and in 1989 became VOA's first full-time Correspondent based in Moscow. Mr. deNesnera has a BA from Fordham University and an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
