Special Features

  • Law Behind the News

The News presents occasional features highlighting the law behind the news, including new or pending legislation from federal, state, and other lawmaking bodies, and current or classic court opinions. These offer readers the legal context for current news in public health law. Click here to read previous installments in this series.

  • 26 Readings in Public Health Law

Each week for 26 weeks during 2004-2005, we presented an installment of a special feature, 26 Readings in Public Health Law. In each issue, we published a short introductory description and a link to illustrative readings in public health law, including cases, law review articles, book chapters, and other materials. The readings were designed to provide a foundation for understanding public health law. To see the list of readings, click here.

  • Profiles in Public Health Law

From time to time, the News spotlights the diverse people in the discipline of public health law -- legal practitioners, lawmakers, judges, teachers, and public health professionals who use the law in their daily work in a feature called Profiles in Public Health Law. New profiles are added periodically, and are announced in the News. To read the profiles, click here.
