The Electronic Literature Foundation provides English translations of two beloved works of Iranian and Arabic literature, The Arabian Nights (a collection of Persian, Arabic and Indian stories) and The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.

The Internet Classics Archives presents Hellen Zimmern's English translation of the Shahnameh (The Book of Kings) by Firdausi (Ferdowsi), the Persian national epic written inn the 11th century AD. A commentary is also provided along with a downloadable version of the text.
