The site provides descriptions of educational instruments in eight categories:

Quantity of Instruments:

There are actually 34 different scales, but there appear to be many more since several scales are classified in multiple categories.

Quality of Instrument Descriptions:

For each test there is a description of the purpose and format of the instrument, scoring information, publisher, how the test can be obtained and its cost.

Quality of Psychometric Information:

Brief reliability, validity, and normative information is provided with each of the scale descriptions.

Scale accessibility:

Each test has a description that includes the publisher, where the test can be obtained, and its cost.

Site provides actual scale items:

The site does not provide actual scale items.

User-friendly navigation:

The site is easy to navigate. A link to return to the SARTA index at the foot of the page will take the user to a page of instrument links, which may have worked at some point, but are no longer functional. The page does provide author names for instruments, which are categorized by subject, title and author.

There are also book and article references and a preface about how this assessment clearinghouse was created.
