David L. Rose

David L. Rose joined the US Department of Justice in 1956 as a trial attorney, following his 1955 graduation from Harvard Law School. From 1969-87, Mr. Rose served as Chief of the Employment Litigation Section, Civil Rights Division. As Chief, Mr. Rose worked on all of the significant early Title VII cases, including Griggs v. Duke Power Co. and Albemarle Paper Co. v. Moody. After leaving Justice in 1987, Mr. Rose formed his own four-lawyer firm with a national practice based in Washington, D.C. The firm specializes in federal court litigation and appellate work, particularly in the areas of equal employment opportunity and environmental law.
