Chairman Joseph T. Kelliher to hold press conference Thursday, May 11 to announce the results of the staff's review of the North American Electric Reliability Council's reliability standards
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Joseph T. Kelliher will meet with reporters at a press conference Thursday to announce the staff's review of the results of the FERC staff's technical review of the North American Electric Reliability Council's reliability standards. The staff's preliminary assessment represents the Commission's next step toward meeting its Energy Policy Act obligation to establish mandatory and enforceable reliability standards for the bulk power system.
The May 11 press conference is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the Commission's meeting room at 888 First Street, N.E. While participation in the press conference is limited to reporters, other interested parties may view a closed-circuit feed of the press conference in Hearing Room 1.
