Imaging and Publishing Support (IPS) is looking for a highly motivated, bright, positive, resourceful individual to work in our Digital Print Center. If you enjoy being part of a high-performance workforce that takes pride in their work and boasts teamwork and customer service, IPS is for you. IPS provides a full range of traditional and digital printing and multimedia publications to the CIA's intelligence production and dissemination mission.

The Digital Print Center, which is part of IPS's Printing Services Center, offers high volume, high quality, color and black-and-white classified and unclassified printing services to the CIA and the Intelligence Community. The Digital Print Center operates 24 hours on a 3-shift day work schedule, six days a week.

Successful candidates will serve as a member of this dynamic multi-skilled team and be responsible for producing numerous publications. The successful candidate will learn a range of skills, including preparing customer material - both hardcopy and electronic - for the purpose of printing reproduction, bindery procedures, and digital archiving. Work within this center is performed in a fast-paced, team environment. Digital Image Technicians must be willing to change shifts and work overtime when required. The work environment may require some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring bending, crouching or stretching; and lifting of moderately heavy materials. Work is primarily performed within a printing plant environment.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, as well as certification as an apprentice or equivalent experience. Applicants need a working knowledge of:  Kodak work flow for both black-and-white and color digital equipment; scanning capabilities; and small bindery equipment operations. Also required is the ability to interpret and apply relevant information from the job requisitions, and to assess when additional information is needed. Applicants must possess the ability to build constructive relationships with team members and production personnel; strong interpersonal and communications skills, and a willingness to work shifts and overtime, on an as-needed basis, are necessary.

All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required.

To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.

Important Notice: Friends, family, individuals, or organizations may be interested to learn that you are an applicant for or an employee of the CIA. Their interest, however, may not be benign or in your best interest. You cannot control whom they would tell. We therefore ask you to exercise discretion and good judgment in disclosing your interest in a position with the Agency. You will receive further guidance on this topic as you proceed through your CIA employment processing.
