Volunteers and Locals Painting a Wall

Get Inspired

Every day, Peace Corps Volunteers are inspired by the things around them — their neighbors and friends, the landscape, the culture of their host country. These things motivate Volunteers to continuously develop and implement programs to benefit their new home.

You, too, can do a lot just by thinking about what inspires you. Inspiration can come from all around you: friends, family, music, sports, even something as simple as a photograph.

Whatever it may be, use what sparks your interests to get out and do something. For example, maybe your sports team encourages you to organize a game day for disabled children, or your interest in art inspires you to teach a painting class at your local recreation center. Find ways to use your knowledge and your passion. You never know how many people you might inspire in the process.
