Equipment Loan Program news

Western's Equipment Loan Program provides customers with technical equipment and training at little or no cost to the customer. The equipment helps customers with energy efficiency and allows them to "test drive" new technologies before investing in expensive equipment.

The Equipment Loan Program is adding the following new pieces:

  • Two FLIR P20 model infrared cameras—These units feature a removable LCD screen on a cord, which is useful for looking at heat sources above head height or into confined spaces like manholes.

  • Six anemometer kits—With the purchase of four more at the beginning of FY 2004, all customers on the waiting list will have access to wind testing equipment.

Also, Western is upgrading four of our seven Dranetz 4300 Power Quality Analyzers and will upgrade the remaining three at the beginning of FY 2004. The inner workings are being replaced to give the analyzers more memory and more capabilities, resulting in virtually new, easier-to-use units.
