Introduction and Objectives

This lesson will cover the treatment of plague, as well as infection control issues. At the end of this lesson, you should be able to:

  • Describe the medical management of suspected and confirmed plague cases.
  • List the medication options available for treating plague in a controlled situation.
  • List the medication options available for treating plague in a mass casualty situation.
  • Describe infection control procedures for plague patients.
