The National Karst Map program is a collaborative effort facilitated by the National Cave and Karst Research Institute, and coordinated by the U.S. Geological Survey. Partners in this program include State Geological Surveys, universities, and private groups. An updated and improved national map of karst areas will take several years to accomplish, but many shorter-term goals of providing access to information and advancing karst mapping on local, state, and regional scales can be accomplished in shorter time frames. |
