Telecommuting allows selected employees to work from home or from a work location very close to home. This arrangement may be established for one or more workdays. In some cases, it may be established for most of the entire workweek. Most telecommuters work from home one or two days a week, and they report to their office the rest of the time.

Telecommuting eliminates an entire commuter vehicle for one or more days.
