Description of Job Duty Competency to be Achieved

Optimize use of office resources.


Description of Need

To ensure compliance with all guidelines and directives and ensure the best products and services are provided in the most efficient manner.


Specific Job Task Skills and Knowledge

1. Designs, assigns and ensures completion of work to maximize the use of available resources.

2. Set priorities and establish controls.

3. Develop, update or provide the approporiate link to the following:

  • National Weather Service Directives
  • Critical phone numbers
  • Climatological Information
  • Shift Log
  • Duty Checklist

  • Instructional Components

    Instructional Component 3.1 Complete a Project Management Course (currently being developed by the NWSTC for presentation in FY-04).

    Instructional Component 3.2 Complete the appropriate NWSTC management residence course, either the Managment and Supervision or the Field Operations Management.
