LACEY, Wash.-- The Monroe Disaster Recovery Center (DRC), staffed by State and federal specialists, will transition to a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) operated by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
The Monroe DRC will cease DRC operations at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday January 25. The SBA DLOC will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. This DLOC will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday from Jan. 30 through Thursday, Feb. 8.
At the DLOCs, SBA representatives are continuing to meet individually with each applicant to provide assistance in completing their disaster loan application, answer any questions about SBA's disaster loan program, and accept completed disaster loan applications. For the hours of operation and location or your nearest DRC or DLOC, call the SBA Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955. Anyone not able to visit a DRC or DLOC should call this number for SBA information and assistance or visit www.sba.gov .
The only remaining DRC is in Issaquah and will be open Monday to Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. until further notice. The DRC is located at the Issaquah City Hall – Eagle Room, 130 E Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA 98024
“The Issaquah DRC opened just last week and with the recent snowy weather, we’ve decided to keep that location open a little longer,” said Sarah Mahlik, DRC coordinator. “In addition, King County has had really high registration numbers and it’s important to us to make sure that we provide face-to-face assistance to people who have already applied for FEMA help and may have further questions.”
To register by Feb. 12 call the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) toll-free number – 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), for speech or hearing impaired at TTY 1-800-462-7585, or online at www.fema.gov.
