NJDOT announces overnight lane closures on Route 17

(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced upcoming overnight lane closures on Route 17 in Ramsey Borough, Bergen County.

 

On Monday night, December 8, NJDOT will close the left travel lane on Route 17 northbound at milepost 23.5 for maintenance bridge deck repairs to the Franklin Turnpike overpass at 9:30 p.m., and will close the center northbound lane at 10:30 p.m.  Both lanes will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, December 9.

 

On Tuesday night, December 9, NJDOT will close the left travel lane on Route 17 southbound at the same location at 9:30 p.m., and will close the center southbound lane at 10:30 p.m.  Both lanes will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning, December 10.

 

NJDOT will utilize variable message signs on Route 17 to advise motorist of the traffic pattern changes.  Real time travel and construction information is available online at www.nj511.info.
