Free parenting programs for adults only will be offered this month in the Redwood Room at the Central Park Library.

The first program called "Is My Child Ready for Kindergarten?" is on Jan. 12, 7-8:30 pm. Jean Wilson, parent educator and preschool teacher, will identify areas of development, including emotional readiness, that are key in beginning school.

This program is followed by "Exploring Preschool" on Jan. 28, 7-8:30 pm. A panel of preschool representatives will discuss school philosophies and curricula.
