Description Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums and related oral structures. May treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth. May practice general dentistry or specialize in endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, public health, or oral pathology. Exclude prosthodontists, orthodontists, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons. [SOC] The most common dental allergens are glutaraldehyde, rubber chemicals and resins based on acrylates and bisphenol A.
