Upgrade to TAP Web site makes application easierThe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently updated the Technical Assistance Project (TAP) Web site. The updates include additional information on how to apply for TAP assistance, as well as posting the TAP application form online. TAP provides state and local officials with customized, short-term access to DOE national laboratory expertise on renewable energy and energy efficiency policies and programs. The website includes summaries of completed TAP projects, and additional resources to state and local officials such as notices of past and future webcasts, and a list of completed projects by state. Users will now find additional resources/tools for state and local government policy decision-makers covering renewable energy and energy-efficiency issues. The analysis toolkit includes links to models, databases useful for evaluating energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. DOE believes that the changes to the TAP Web site will be helpful to utility professionals and key partners. Questions about the TAP Web site and services, and about related DOE programs should be directed to James M. Ferguson, National Energy Technology Laboratory, 412-386-6043, or fax 412-386-5835. Green power financial opportunities available on EERE Web siteThe U.S. DOE EERE Green Power Network now posts solicitations for renewable energy generation, renewable energy certificates and green power on its Web site. Visitors can also sign up to receive e-mail updates about new green power RFPs. The RFPs and solicitations are from private organizations and are not endorsed by the Green Power Network.
