TA HelpDesk

The TARGET Center HelpDesk is a telephone and Web-based service designed to serve as a technical assistance resource for Ryan White CARE Act grantees, planning bodies, and HAB staff. Through the HelpDesk, individuals and organizations can receive information and referrals related to the Ryan White CARE Act and the range of technical assistance supported by HAB.

To reach the TARGET Center HelpDesk by phone, please call (301) 443-0067.

The phone line is open for service between the hours of 10 AM to 4 PM ET, Monday through Friday. Note that the HelpDesk is closed on Federal holidays.

Telephone and online requests for assistance received by the HelpDesk will be responded to by Project Officers of the HAB Division of Training and Technical Assistance within two working days.

FAQs

Where do I find a nearby HIV clinic?

Go to the TARGET Center Ryan White Community page and find a Ryan White website or a link to a listing of Ryan White grantees.

Where can I find TA documents?

In addition to the TARGET Center Web site, Help Desk staff can help locate resources. Contact the Help Desk at 301-443-0067or online through the TARGET Center. Grantees can also use these services but may want to contact the HRSA/HAB project officer first.

I am a grantee and need TA.

On-site TA is primarily for Ryan White grantees and is provided by peers and other consultants. Requests for TA must be submitted to the HRSA/HAB project officer, so grantees should call them to first discuss their TA request to determine how it can best be met. From that point, TA must be approved prior to setting up an on-site consultation.

Where can I learn about upcoming training opportunities?

The TARGET Center maintains a TA Calendar for training events and other activities. Grantees may also contact their project officers for information. Additionally, the Sources of TA page may offer grantees insights as to available technical assistance by topic area.

I am a grantee with questions about grant requirements.

Contact your HRSA/HAB project officer.

I have a resource to share. How do I get it added to the TARGET Center TA Library?

Go online and post the item at http://www.careacttarget.org/uploads/uploadform.asp TA Library resources are focused on the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and thus are limited to items (e.g., how-to tools) developed by HRSA/HAB or by grantees. Other resources generally cannot be added to the TA Library.

Who can I contact about a concern (e.g., a grants issue, a challenging situation)?

Ryan White grantees should contact their HRSA/HAB project officers about concerns. Planning bodies should discuss concerns with the grantee.
