Support IYOR
In addition to participating in IYOR events and developing your own activities and events as part of the campaign you can also offer financial support to the IYOR campaign.
You can donate directly to the online IYOR Fund. All donations made to the IYOR Fund (administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), one of the fastest growing 501(c)3 non-profit conservation organizations in the world) are tax deductible and donors immediately receive online a certificate suitable for submission to the IRS.
At the end of 2008, a special IYOR Fund Proposal Review Committee, consisting of some of the world s most respected coral reef scientists and conservationists will be convened. The committee will send out Request for Proposals (RFP) through various channels, with special emphasis placed on educational projects. Prospective coral conservationists will compete for IYOR funds through a competitive proposal process. Proposal awardees will submit periodic progress reports as well as a final summary.
