On the cover, views of the queenpost truss framing in the attic of the Congregational Church, Peacham, Vermont, 1806. Major members are of high-quality spruce and pine; the smallerbraces, remarkably profuse, are of mixed hardwoods. Floor is cambered lengthwise as well as transversely to produce a shallow dome in the ceiling below. White spots are frost. Photos by Ken Rower.
