Rumsfeld Town Hall Meeting Available Worldwide

WASHINGTON, Aug. 26, 2002 – Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's Town Hall meeting with Marines and sailors at Camp Pendleton, Calif. will be available worldwide through the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service and satellite transmission.

Rumsfeld will take questions from Marines, sailors and their family members about a variety of subjects beginning at 5 p.m. EDT Aug. 27.

Service members overseas can view the meeting via their local AFRTS affiliates. Bases in the United States can download the transmission via satellite.

The broadcast will be available via the AMC-2 satellite. Aim your antennas at 85 degrees West on transponder 6. The band is KU 36 megahertz analog. The downlink frequency is 11820-megahertz horizontal polarity and audio can be heard at 6.2-6.8.

Bars and tone will begin at 4 p.m. EDT.
