    Building Collaboration for Clinical Research Networks

    The purpose of the meeting was to focus on the theoretical and practical solutions in promoting clinical network collaboration. We were able to draw from a wide variety of resources including social, behavioral, and organizational science to identify solutions to common problems in collaborations in clinical research, and to identify common causes of success and failure.

    Ensuring the Inclusion of Clinical Research in the National Health Information Network

    The federal government is promoting the use of electronic health records (EHR) for use within medical organizations and also to support a national health information network (NHIN). The goal of the meeting was to lay the groundwork for a plan to include clinical and translational research in the NHIN. (May 9, 2006)
