Stephen Myrow
Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary
Since March 2008, Stephen A. Myrow has served as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Treasury Secretary.
Prior to joining Treasury, Myrow served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the official export credit agency of the United States with a $57 billion credit portfolio, where he was responsible for coordinating the Bank's internal operations and external relations since 2006.
He also served in a variety of legal and policy roles at the State Department and Defense Department, including Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Transportation within the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq in 2004, and Director for Operations and Mission Support within the Department of Defense Reconstruction Support Office from 2004 to 2006.
Myrow practiced corporate law with an emphasis on international transactions in New York and Washington, D.C. from 1997 to 2003.
Myrow received a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Russian Studies from Colgate University, a master's degree in International Economics and Strategic Studies from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University, and a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a term member and also serves on the term member advisory committee of the Council on Foreign Relations.
