Electrical Engineer

Work Schedule: Full Time
Salary: $56,532 – $83,272
Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area


CIA is seeking qualified Electrical Engineers to be responsible for projects requiring analog, digital and RF circuit design and fabrication. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be required to use a wide array of tools and techniques to design, troubleshoot and verify your design. These tools include a wide variety of test equipment and state-of-the-art computer aided design tools.


Minimum requirements include a BS in electrical engineering, with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Ability, skills and knowledge in electrical circuits design principles; theoretical and practical design and fabrication of electronic circuits/systems containing discrete RF, passive, digital, analog, microcontroller and mechanical components; substantial hands-on experience with electronic circuit-level troubleshooting; the ability to use a variety of electronic test equipment and to read schematics containing electronic, mechanical and electrical drawings; and the ability to work independently in a leadership role, as well as on teams, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and sound judgment, are also required.

A technical orientation with strong knowledge of computers and good hands-on experience in operating software programs for engineering use, the ability to design and program 8-bit microcontrollers for application-specific embedded systems, and a willingness to learn and become proficient with all forms of electrical engineering disciplines including analog, digital and RF are preferred. Experience in machine-level microprocessor programming utilizing Computer Architecture and Networks, and programming and design in C, C++, Assembly Language, and Visual Basic is a plus.
