Published and Unpublished Reports

The International Programs Center (IPC), part of the Population Division of the U.S. Bureau of the Census, conducts demographic and socioeconomic studies and strengthens statistical development around the world through technical assistance, training, and software products. The International Programs Center resulted from the merger of the Center for International Research and the International Statistical Programs Center.

This list includes publications and other products issued since 1990 by the former Centers or the IPC and describes the services that IPC continues to provide.

Statistical Briefs are prepared by staff of the Public Information Office (PIO) of the Census Bureau to present information of current policy interest. Several briefs on international topics follow. Economic Profiles

The IPC provides information for the preparation of this series of profiles on the countries of the former Soviet Union. The profiles provide a description of the geography, population, and economy of the selected country. Health Studies Research Notes

The Health Studies Branch of IPC issues the updated HIV/AIDS Database twice a year (see below). The research notes listed here provide a summary of recent developments and emerging trends from data in the database.
