| HHS Deputy Secretary Tevi Troy to address National Home and Community-Based Services Conference |

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Deputy Secretary Tevi Troy will address the 24th National Home and Community Based Services Conference (HCBS) in Boston, Mass. Deputy Secretary Troy will highlight the Administration’s achievements toward ensuring the health and well-being of all Americans and will announce $36 million in new grant programs. Troy will also discuss a new partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to help older Americans and veterans remain independent and help support those with Alzheimer’s disease remain in their homes and communities.

The HCBS Conference, entitled “The Spirit of Independence” and sponsored by the National Association of State Units on Aging and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, will showcase innovative national, federal, state and local delivery and policy developments that will ensure Americans of all ages and abilities receive the highest quality community living support, care and services. More than 800 experts in the field of home and community based services from across the United States will participate.
