Helpful Tips for U.S. Training and Education

As part of the U.S. government’s ongoing public education program, free educational and training materials in more than 20 languages have been provided to businesses, organizations, law enforcement, financial institutions and the general public to use when training cash handlers about the recent changes to U.S. currency.

Below is a list of helpful suggestions for teaching cash handlers about the changes to U.S. currency.

Individual Materials. Order free education and training materials for all of your employees. Display training materials in company break rooms, loss prevention and human resource offices.

Downloadable Materials. Use our downloadable materials to create a suite of educational tools to post on your company's intranet.

Training Seminar. Host a training seminar at your business or organization where employees or members can view training videos and Podcasts specifically designed for cash handlers, law enforcement, and financial institutions.

Communicate the News. Insert an image of the redesigned bill with instructional tips for identifying the new security features in your company or organization newsletter.

Link to Web Site. Place the image of the new bill or add a link to the http://www.moneyfactory.gov/newmoney Web site on the home page of your company or organization intranet or Web site.

Train the Trainer. Use company meetings and retreats to hand out education materials and educate managers on U.S. currency design changes. Challenge them to pass on information to their colleagues.

Hear. See. Touch. Have a trainer explain the new design features so empoyees can hear what's new. Distribute educational materials to your employees so they can read and learn more. Have actual bills available (new and older-designs) so employees can hold the bills and see the new designs and security features for themselves.
