About Agency Accounting Division

Treasury Agency Services (TAS) has been a leader in the federal marketplace, pioneering an entrepreneurial approach to meeting agency financial management needs years before the concept of government franchising entered the scene.

As with all successful enterprises, we continually evaluate our own strategic direction and performance to anticipate and adapt to the changing needs of our customers and the federal financial management community. For years, many of our customers have participated in our training or accesses our various consulting services to leverage our Treasury expertise.

The Agency Accounting Division is under the guidance of Jim Sturgill, Assistant Commissioner of Government-Wide Accounting for the Financial Management Service.

The Agency Accounting Division consists of two branches that are ready to assist you.

• Education Branch (formerly known as Professional Development): Financial Courses, Conferences, Workshops & Seminars and Certificate Programs
  
  
• Accounting and Financial Support and Consulting Branch (formerly known as Accounting Operations): Reconciliation, Financial Reporting Assistance, Review and Closeout Activities and Transaction Processing and Ledger Maintenance, SGL Conversions, Operational and Internal Control Reviews, Financial Reporting Compliance Reviews, Performance Measures and Compliance with GPRA, and Compliance with Managerial Cost Accounting
