Thomas A. Barnes, Central Region Director
Thomas A. Barnes was appointed in April 2007 as Regional Director for the OTS Central Region, which covers Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. He was formerly a Regional Deputy Director for the OTS Northeast Region.
Prior to his work with the OTS, Barnes was Vice President and Supervisory Agent for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston and he held the position of Treasurer with a savings bank in New Hampshire. He started his career as a Bank Examiner with the Massachusetts Division of Banks.
Barnes holds a B.S. from Boston State College and a Banking Degree from the Stonier School of Banking. He is also a graduate of the Treasury Department’s Executive Leadership program.
