This article from Star Radio based in Monrovia, Liberia, announces that Peace Corps has formally reopened its program in Liberia after withdrawing from the country in 1990.

The article mentions that twelve new volunteers of the Peace Corps program were sworn in to begin work in Liberia with focus on education. Peace Corps Director Ronald Tschetter, who swore in the volunteers, urged them to carry out their duties with passion and commitment while US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield cautioned the volunteers that there is a great challenge ahead as expectations are high.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf urged the volunteers to be more innovative in response to changes in Liberia over the past years.
