Mayor Fenty at Council  On June 12, 2007, Mayor Fenty gained authority over the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). The Mayor is committed to involving parents and the entire school community in reform efforts and to improving the academic performance of every student.

This website provides a central source for information about education reform in the District. It also acts as a meeting place for residents to share information and opinions, and allows communities to work together on issues affecting District schoolchildren.
