The 2008 Hawaii Official First Day Coin Cover is the 50th and final coin cover in the series. This limited-edition cover – only 35,000 will be produced – features two Hawaii quarters from the first day of mintage – October 9, 2008. Each cover includes two quarters, one each from the United States Mints at Philadelphia and Denver, on a handsome display card with one of the four U.S. 42-cent Flags 24/7 stamps. The postmark of November 3, 2008, Kapaau, HI marks the day the Hawaii quarters were first released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public.
To ensure that all members of the public have fair and equal access to United States Mint products, any order placed prior to the official on-sale date and time (October 27, 2008 12:00 Noon ET) shall not be deemed accepted by the United States Mint and will not be honored.
