The Hawaii quarter-dollar is the 50th and final coin released in the 50 State Quarters® Program. This bag is filled with 1,000 Hawaii quarters struck on the main production floor of the Philadelphia facility and bears a “P” mint mark.

Hawaii, nicknamed “The Aloha State,” was admitted to the union on August 21, 1959. The reverse of the Hawaii quarter features Hawaiian monarch King Kamehameha I stretching out his hand toward the eight major Hawaiian Islands. The coin’s design includes the state motto “UA MAU KE EA O KA ‘ĀINA I KA PONO” (The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness), “Hawaii” and “1959.”

The United States Mint will accept and fulfill orders beginning Monday, November 3, 2008. Hawaii Bags and Rolls will be available for approximately 10 weeks after this date.

To ensure that all members of the public have fair and equal access to United States Mint products, any order placed prior to the official on-sale date and time (November 3, 2008 at 12:00 Noon ET) shall not be deemed accepted by the United States Mint and will not be honored.
