Detailed Forecast Discussion |
Another Alberta Clipper will cross the forecast area early Thursday. Winds will shift northwest during the morning rush hour and increase. With temperatures below freezing, the wind chill will fall below zero by evening. This Arctic air mass will be quite clean and good air quality is expected for Thursday with PM concentrations maximizing in the early morning hours and falling through the day. Extended Forecast: Friday will be the coldest day of the winter so far with temperatures struggling to reach 20 F during the afternoon. Wind chills will be below zero throughout the day. Westerly winds and an Arctic air mass will give us good air quality. Temperatures warm and winds decrease, becoming southerly, on Saturday as the next weather system approaches from the west. There is a chance of snow by Saturday evening. PM concentrations will rise as winds recirculate local emissions but remain within the good range. Ryan |
