What’s Working: Using Occupant Surveys to Evaluate Buildings  

CBE’s occupant survey shows how well a building is performing from the perspective of its occupants. Use of the survey also qualifies for LEED-NC 2.2 credit EQ 7.2, for thermal comfort verification.

Hot or Not? CBE’s Advanced Thermal Comfort Model  

This tool can used to study the effectiveness of energy saving design strategies, such as facade designs and advanced HVAC systems, in terms of occupant comfort.

New Research on Radiant Cooling Tools and Applications  

Recent studies suggest that radiant cooling systems may provide significant energy savings with competitive first costs. CBE is studying available tools for design of this emerging technology.
