Christine Faith of NCPTT will host a Tel-Net course on the role of National Park Service interpretation in Heritage Education on July 16, 2008, at 1 p.m., EDT. "Heritage Education at Risk: Why We Must Engage Formal Education Systems," will examine how National parks have the ability to help heritage education reach new heights, and how NPS interpreters are the key to that solution. The audience will learn why engaging local schools and monitoring national education trends will increase their ability to bring students to their cultural resource, while broadening the educational opportunities for those young learners.
