Park & Refuge Maps

Overview

The National Park Service (NPS) and the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) have responsibility for managing approximately 400 park units and 500 refuges, respectively. The map below primarily identifies national parks which have been designated as Class I by the Clean Air Act.

The ArcView Shapefiles that were used to create the Class I map below are available on the Class I Locations webpage, along with shapefiles and maps for the FWS and FS Class I Areas. For completeness, maps of the Native American Class I areas are also included. This data is provided for convenience but it is not guaranteed for accuracy, reliability or suitability for your individual application. The National Park Service provides access to national park boundary files and other GIS resources through its Geography and Mapping Technologies web site.

Class I Receptors for NPS, FWS, and FS, along with their associated shapefiles are available on the Class I Receptors webpage.
