Essential Fats is an interactive menu planning tool on a CD-ROM designed for direct use by educators, practitioners, and clinical researchers in nutrition and dietetics, and for dietitian-assisted planning with clients. The program gives background information on essential fats and eicosanoids in health promotion and disease prevention, and it aids in selecting foods that provide a balance of essential fats stored in the body.
