The Student Career Experience (SCEP) Program (formerly Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a planned and progressive educational program that offers many advantages. By combining your academic studies with on-the-job experience, the SCEP helps you gain the experience you need to obtain the job of your choice. Designed to be a partnership between you, your school, and the Financial Management Service, the SCEP will help you:
Competitive Pay and BenefitsAs a SCEP student, you start earning a salary now! Your rate of pay will depend on your education and work experience. As your responsibilities increase, your pay reflects your experience, talents and contributions. Pay-for-performance systems are in place to provide increases and awards for motivated SCEP students. There are many ways to work in the SCEP. Schedules may alternate full-time work experiences with full semesters or quarters of study in school, or there may be part-time positions with parallel periods of study.
