Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP)
What is the Student Temporary Employment Program?
FMS' Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) gives you the opportunity to combine academic studies with on-the-job training and experience. You can work for FMS while completing your education.
- A U.S. citizen, at least 16 years of age and enrolled, or accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student (diploma, BA/BS, Masters, certificate etc.)
- If enrolled, students must take at least a half-time academic, vocational or technical course load in an accredited high school; technical or vocational school or 2-year or 4-year college or university; graduate or professional school.
In STEP, you may work part-time when school is in session and full-time during vacation periods.
You will be paid at regular government salary rates depending on your experience and assigned duties.
You may be promoted or rewarded based on your performance.
We recruit candidates directly from schools or through state employment or local job service agencies.
