Information for small businesses

Western welcomes the opportunity to purchase goods and services from small, minority, veteran and women-owned businesses. Purchasing agents actively seek competitive offers and bids from small businesses and work with the Small Business Administration and the Central Contractor Registration database to identify eligible suppliers. 

For an estimate of upcoming purchases, check the annual DOE acquisition forecast, which is prepared shortly after the beginning of each new fiscal year. This is the only advance information Western releases on upcoming projects. Since it is only an estimate, it is subject to change without notice.

Active solicitations estimated at greater than $25,000 are posted on FedBizOpps and the DOE e-center. Specific information on business opportunities is available from the Western procurement offices referenced on the solicitations.
