AIEO Mission
The American Indian Environmental Office (AIEO) coordinates the Agency-wide effort to strengthen public health and environmental protection in Indian country, with a special emphasis on helping tribes administer their own environmental programs.

- "Blessed by Tradition: Honoring Our Ancestors Through Government Service" Society of American Indian Government Employees hosts 5th National Training Conference and Career Fair, in Traverse City, Michigan, June 2nd through June 6th, 2008
- National Tribal Conference on Environmental Management - The Eighth National Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (NTCEM) will be held in Billings, MT, June 24th through June 26th, 2008. This major event includes a wide variety of session topics and provides training opportunities that benefit human health and protect the environment in Indian country. The 8th NTCEM is being co-sponsored by EPA and the Montana/Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council.
