Temporary and Other Jobs

Western may make temporary appointments to fill a short term position (i.e., one that is not expected to last longer than one year and for positions for which a critical hiring need exists). Western can also recruit through a variety of authorities to include competitive announcements; the Student Educational Employment Program; 30 percent Compensable Veterans; Veterans Recruitment Appointments, and State Certified Handicapped Appointments.

Western may also make term appointments through competitive announcements for positions expected to last more than one year but not to exceed four years.
