Blackstone River Valley Presents 24 Preserve America Community Applications to the ACHP

Feb. 10, 2004, Washington, DC—The Preserve America Community designations program received a welcome boost today when a delegation from the Blackstone River Valley in Massachusetts and Rhode Island presented 24 community applications in a group to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.

Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor; John Fowler, Executive Director, ACHP; Robert Billington, Chairman-President, Blackstone Valley Tourism Council; Louise Redding, Chair, Blackstone Valley Institute Sub-Committee; Michael Cassidy, Treasurer, City of Pawtucket, Director of Planning and Redevelopment; Donna Williams, Secretary and Chair, American Heritage Rivers Sub-Committee.
