John Hardage
Director, Congressional Liaison

John Hardage was appointed Director for Congressional Liaison in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in December 2007.

Mr. Hardage joined the OCC as Deputy Director for Congressional Liaison in 1997, after serving two years in a similar role at the Federal Housing Finance Board.

Prior to joining the Federal Housing Finance Board, Mr. Hardage worked on Capitol Hill for 14 years. During that time, he served Congressman Steve Neal (D-NC) and the House Banking Committee (now the Committee on Financial Services) in a number of roles including Deputy Staff Director of the Financial Institutions Subcommittee.

He holds a bachelor's of arts in Politics from Wake Forest University and a master's of arts in Government from the Johns Hopkins University.
