Kevin J. Bailey
Deputy Comptroller, Capital and Regulatory Policy

Mr. Bailey serves as the deputy comptroller for Capital and Regulatory Policy within the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's (OCC) Office of the Chief National Bank Examiner.

In this capacity, Mr. Bailey has direct responsibility for formulating and disseminating OCC policy on bank capital issues and is responsible for the assessment of supervisory issues associated with novel bank products and activities.

Mr. Bailey is responsible for overseeing the OCC's efforts to develop policies and regulations implementing proposed revisions to the Basel Capital Accord.

Mr. Bailey also represents the OCC as a member of the Capital Task Force of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

Prior to joining the OCC in 1986, Mr. Bailey worked for Shawmut Bank, N.A., Boston, Mass.

Mr. Bailey is a graduate of Boston College and the Villanova University School of Law. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
