An
Exercise Story
Having grown up living and working on a farm and having spent an
additional 13 years farming after I married, I became accustomed to
physical exercise and grew to love all types of physical
activities. In the past 20 years, I have begun most mornings with
stretches and a two-mile run. Following an osteoporosis diagnosis a
few years ago, I added weight resistant exercises to my routine and
that helped return my bones to within the normal range. Though I
now power walk instead of running on the insistence of my doctor, I
continue my daily yoga stretches and two-mile walks. Exercise not
only helps my body, but also gives me a positive mental outlook and
that makes it all worthwhile!
