Guidance from the 2003 Stand Down

A 90-day National VA Research & Development Stand Down was in effect from Monday, March 10 through Friday, June 6, 2003. The purpose of this stand down was to focus attention on proactively reviewing the human studies program to ensure we are doing all that is possible to ensure the protection of human subjects and the ethical conduct of research. (See guidance document).

This section of the ORD website will remain up as a resource for continued training and guidance in human subjects protection.
